Specsavers Cheltenham visits Churchdown School
PR co-ordinator, Emily Ashman, talking to the pupils in Year 3 at Churchdown Village Junior School

As part of Specsavers Cheltenham's ongoing work with the local community, they paid a visit to Churchdown Village Junior School.

PR co-ordinator, Emily Ashman talked to a group of Year 3 pupils and ran activities for the children.

Important to educate young people

'We've been visiting local schools to talk to the pupils about what's involved in a sight test,' said Emily.

'We think it's really important to educate youngsters about the importance of eye examinations and they all seemed to enjoy the session.

'Some of the children mentioned they had not had a sight test before and would now ask their parents to arrange one, which was great to hear.’

High-vis vests donation

At the end of the session the team handed out goody bags to the children and provided hi-vis vests for the school to use out and about in the community.
