In the run-up to Christmas, Specsavers Cheltenham helped with an appeal designed to bring some festive cheer to the wards of Cheltenham General Hospital.

Staff and friends of the hospital knitted Christmas stockings for elderly patients spending the festive period in hospital. The stockings were filled with gifts and essentials collected by Specsavers.  Items included: deodorant, hand cream, chocolate, shower gel, fluffy socks, toothpaste, flannels and lip balm.

Specsavers also offered free sight tests to customers visiting the stores in Cheltenham in December in return for donations towards the appeal.

A word from the PR co-ordinator
PR co-ordinator Emily Ashman, said: ‘The team were keen to help elderly patients over the festive period, especially those not spending it at home. We invited customers and locals to purchase items with their Christmas shopping to help make Christmas morning more special’.
