A warm welcome was on offer when Specsavers Cheltenham visited a local cubs group in Shurdington recently.

A frenzy of games

The store arranged a number of activities for the cubs, including optical illusions, word searches and games relating to sight and hearing.

The children were also invited to try on a part of simulated specs, designed to show how eye conditions can affect eyesight (cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration).

A word from the store

'The cubs responded really well during our interactive talk about eye health and sight tests' said team member, Emily Ashman.  'They were keen to join in with all the activities and had a lot of fun with polystyrene eyeballs, balloons and glow sticks'.

To round off a lively and enjoyable evening the cubs were given a Specsavers goody bag containing activity books, frisbees, pens and sweets.
