Rachel and Paige took to the skies to raise money for The National Autistic Society

Two brave members of staff from Specsavers in Chelmsley Wood took to the clouds in a sponsored skydive, raising more than £800 for The National Autistic Society.

Rachel Browell, contact Lens supervisor, and Paige Furlong, diabetic screener, from the Specsavers store in Greenwood Square completed the jump, which saw them fall from a plane at 13,000 feet.

Both Rachel and Paige self-funded their skydives, which took place at Brackley Airfield, to ensure that 100% of the proceeds went to the charity.

A word from the store director

Store director Sukhi Drake said: ‘The whole team is immensely proud and impressed by Rachel and Paige’s courage in completing this challenge.

‘They went over and above to raise funds for a really worthwhile charity and raised an amazing £805!’
