Specsavers in Catford and Lewisham is urging brave local youngsters to put themselves forward for the British Citizen Youth Awards 2017. 

Cause supported by Specsavers' Founder

Dame Mary Perkins, founder of Specsavers, is a patron and supporter of the BCYA and the awards are incredibly close to her heart. With the deadline for entires fast approaching, Dame Mary is on the look out for inspirational youngsters in Catford and Lewisham to stake their own claim at winning an award.

The British Citizen Youth awards aim to recongise the amazing achievements of young people within their local communities, highlighting the bravery, compassion and kindness demonstrated by children across the UK.

If selected, winners can go on to attend a fabulous awards ceremony at the Palace of Westminster in October 2017, with Dame Mary on hand to present the awards.

The British Citizen Youth Awards is open to all children who will be under the age of 16 in October 2017. To apply, simple e-mail jacquif@britishcitizenawards.co.uk, quoting 'BCYA' in the subject line. The deadline for all entries is Wednesday 9 August 2017.
