The Leckwith team has raised more than £50 for a cancer charity by holding a pyjama-themed weekend in-store.
Staff donned their slippers and comfortable nightwear for an entire weekend and gave out goody bags with chocolates and sweets, in a bid to encourage members of the public to donate to Cancer Research UK.
The pyjama-themed event helped raise £50.49 for the charity, which aims to find cures and treatments for the disease and support those suffering with cancer across the UK.
‘Best and brightest nightwear’
Gemma Watkins, store manager at Specsavers Leckwith, said: ‘Thanks to donations from our generous customers and the willingness of staff to dig out their best and brightest nightwear for the weekend, we have played a part in supporting a charity that does so much for people across the country.
‘We had a great time dressing up and look forward to the next charity fundraiser in store.’
