Members of the team at Specsavers in Cannock held a Big Fit Day offering professional advice to customers and passers-by on contact lenses and their benefits.
Big fit day
Staff spent the day running a special contact lens clinic by talking to shoppers about the different options for wearing contact lenses, offering guidance, fitting advice and a free trial.
As well as handing out mince pies and freebies, the team raised £50 for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) through a raffle, where one lucky person got their hands on a pair of designer specs.
A word from the store director
Store director, Claire Bladford, said: ‘Although contact lenses are a great alternative to wearing glasses, a lot of people are still sceptical. The idea of trying contact lenses for the first time, or even trying them again if you didn’t get on with them in the past, can be daunting.
‘Our Big Fit Day was a great opportunity for customers to come and try contact lenses. Everyone really seemed to appreciate the support we offered and we’re so grateful that we had the opportunity to show people that contact lenses can be a great choice.’
RNIB is a charity which provides practical and emotional support for people experiencing sight loss. It is their aim to help those who are suffering from sight loss and vision problems face the future with confidence.
