Poppy appeal drive at Burnham-on-Sea
Specsavers Burnham-on-Sea would like to thank customers and local residents for their support of this year’s poppy appeal, run by the British Legion.
Throughout November the local opticians sold the iconic paper poppies, collecting donations in return to help support the vital work the Royal British Legion does for the Armed Forces Community.
Lest we forget
Specsavers Burnham-on-Sea store manager, Sai Rama, said: ‘This Remembrance Day we raised funds for a local Blind Veteran to march at the Remembrance Day Parade in London, but we also wanted to support the incredible work that the Royal British Legion does.
‘It is so important that we remember all of the Armed Forces Community and the sacrifices they make to keep us safe. Thank you to all our customers for supporting this cause.’
The Royal British Legion
The Royal British Legion asks the nation to Rethink Remembrance by recognising the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces community, past and present.
By wearing a poppy, you aren't just remembering the fallen: you're supporting a new generation of veterans and service personnel that need their support.
