A crack squad of optical experts from across Specsavers stores in Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Kidderminster and Stourport has come together to support local charity, Sight Concern.
On October 11 the team took on the challenge of the eighth annual World Sight Day Quiz at Sixways Stadium, Worcester which raised more than £7,000 for the charity.
A word from the store manager
Julian Bishop, store manager at Specsavers in Bromsgrove said, ‘We have been attending the quiz for years and it’s always a fabulous night. Having recently held a fundraising day for Sight Concern in store, it was great to have another opportunity to support the charity and to see colleagues from across our region.’
Improving the lives of people with sight loss
Sight Concern is the only program of its kind dedicated to improving the lives of people with sight loss across Worcestershire. The charity started life in 1880 as Worcestershire Blind Visiting Service and has evolved over its 130 years but continues to develop and provide a range of services in response to the needs of people with sight loss.
