Brave youngsters wanted from Brixton
Specsavers in Brixton is working with the British Citizen Youth Awards to attempt to find and reward extraordinary contributions made by young people in their local communities.
The awards, which are now in the second year, offer youngsters the opportunity to highlight their oustanding acts of kindness, bravery and compassion carried out by children across the United Kingdom.
Those selected to receive an award will be invited along to a special presentation at the Palace of Westminster in October 2017, with the awards presented by Specsavers founder, Dame Mary Perkins.
Store director, Brian Simpson, said: ‘We're extremely proud to support such a wholly worthwhile and inspirational cause. Hearing the stories of extradorindary bravery from young people within our local community is extremely humbling and we're sure there are a number of youngsters in and around Brixton that would be worthy of selection.'
