Colleagues from Specsavers in Brighton have a special request to the younger population.  If you have done some amazing things for the community, we want to hear all about it!  You could go on to meet the founder of Specsavers, Dame Mary Perkins at an awards ceromony at Westminster too if you are selected as a winner.

What we are after

Brighton is a special community as we all know, and we bet there are lots of young local heroes in the area doing fantastic things for local charities or for society as a whole.   Now if your chance to be rewarded and recognised via the BCYA  -  a scheme that stands for British Citizen Youth Awards.

Dame Mary, patron and supporter of awards

The BCYA's are very close to Dame Mary's heart and she has asked all Specsavers stores across the UK to search for local young champions.   Enter now and if selected as a winner, you could go on to attend a day at Palace of Westminster in October 2017, where Dame Mary will present the medals to those individuals who have done amazing things for their communities.

How to apply

It is really easy to apply too. The British Citizen Youth Award is open to all children who will be under the age of 16 in October 2017. To apply, please email jacquif@britishcitizenawards.co.uk with BCYA in the subject line. The deadline for all entries is Wednesday 9 August 2017.
