Specsavers in Bridgnorth is ensuring the local community will be seen when out and about by donating 250 high-visibility vests to Highley Primary School.
Making children visible on the roads
‘With reduced daylight hours, it’s more important than ever to do all that we can to help educate young people about road safety and to make them more visible, especially to drivers,’ said store director, Teresa Hughes.
‘Hopefully these high visibility vests will help children be seen while out and about during their school or club activities.
‘We’re delighted to be able to donate these high-visibility vests to local children. Anything that helps to educate young people about road safety or to make them more visible, especially to drivers, is invaluable.’
The children from Highley Primary School are already benefitting from the high-visibility vests around the town. A class recently wore them on a school trip to Bridgnorth cinema and were safely spotted near the roads.
