The Brecon team helped put smiles on many faces by gathering donations for a council service that supports disadvantaged children.

Charity collection

The High Street store was a drop off point for Powys County Council’s children’s services, which supports children suffering from domestic abuse, poverty, disabilities and more.

Staff collected items such as a remote-controlled car, shampoo, shower gel and toys for the children’s services team.

Community spirit

Mikhaila Stephens, store manager, says: ‘We are always impressed by the generosity of the Brecon community whenever we hold a fundraiser. This was no exception.

‘People took time out of their busy schedules to come and drop off unwanted goods, with some even going out of their way to buy items to donate after they saw our poster appeal.

‘As a community-focussed business, it was lovely to see people rallying round and making such an effort.’
