Store get behind Guide Dogs

Specsavers stores in Borehamwood and Hoddesdon have renewed their commitment to supporting the Guide Dogs charity in 2017.

The teams, under the directorship of owning partners Lee Jobson-Fowle and Kartik Bharadia, have set out to raise £800 for the special cause this summer.

Leading the campaign, optometrists Kartik Bharadia, Erika Canizales, Reema Amin and Ahthesamul Chowdhury will tackle a 10k run later in August and sponsorship donations are being accepted in the stores.

A word from the director

Kartik Bharadia said: ‘We, at Specsavers, have a long-standing fundraising partnership with Guide Dogs. As eyecare experts, it’s a charity close to our hearts.

‘And it doesn’t take much to make a difference. Just £35 could support an important working guide dog partnership for a week.

‘We’ve set an ambitious target of £800 and would be delighted for any support from our customers over the coming weeks.’

More about the charity

Guide Dogs was established in 1931 and has become the largest breeder and trainers of working dogs.
