The team at Specsavers in Bognor Regis dug deep to support ‘Wear a Hat Day’ and celebrate the launch of a new range of JCB glasses.
Staff supported the good cause by donning builders’ hats and organising a collection pot, with customers encouraged to make donations while waiting to have their specs repaired.
The store raised a grand total of £120.83, with all proceeds going directly to charity group Brain Tumour Research.
Jonathan West, store director at Specsavers Bognor Regis, said: ‘All the staff got involved in Wear a Hat Day and it was a great success all round.’
Excitement builds for JCB
The event was also used to promote the store’s latest selection of JCB safety glasses and children’s frames.
The latter is aimed at younger children aged between three and five years old, who can choose from a range of six acetate frames. They are available at £64 per pair and are free for under-16s with an NHS optical voucher.
