A combined 140 years of service
Ten of our most dedicated team members have recently celebrated a combined 140 years of service - providing outstanding community eye and audiology care to customers in Blackburn.
Having reached this special milestone in 2017, the teams from the Lord Street Mall store and Morrisons store joined forces to recognise more than a century of service.
Over a century’s worth of stellar service
Several members of staff celebrated 15 years working for Specsavers, including Adrian Davies, Emma Curtis, Jill Boyd, Abida Zaman and Shaheda Begum, as well as store directors Ahmed Deshmukh and Mandy Jeewooth.
Others who marked important milestones at the Blackburn store were retail manager Liz Denton-Pugh, who has worked at Specsavers for 20 years, customer service advisor Louise Thornton, who has reached 10 years with the team and audiologist Khalil Rifai, who celebrated five years.
Commitment to care of Blackburn
Mandy Jeewooth, store retail director at Specsavers Blackburn, said: ‘Longevity is a theme here and it speaks volumes of the outstanding team we have here in Blackburn.’
‘With so many work anniversaries falling in 2017, we didn’t want to miss an opportunity to say a huge thank you to these fantastic 10 people. From optometrists to lab managers and audiologists we’re celebrating outstanding experience right across the team.’
‘Every year we are celebrating more and more anniversaries and it’s wonderful for both us as a team, and the people of Blackburn, that so many of our other staff have chosen to remain with us over the years.’
