Birmingham children given winter visibility

21 December, 2017

Specsavers in Birmingham is ensuring the local community will be seen when out and about this winter by donating free high-visibility vests to schools and clubs.

Members of staff from the store on New Street have so far handed out 250 vests to ensure that local children will be safe and seen this winter.

Delighted to donate

‘During the winter months, children are more vulnerable while out and about due to reduced daylight hours,’ said Neil Jones, store director at Specsavers Birmingham.

‘It’s more important than ever to do all that we can to help educate young people about road safety and to make them more visible, especially to drivers.

‘We’re delighted to be able to donate these high-visibility vests to local children, and we’re hoping that they will find them useful when they are going to and from school, clubs and during outings.’
