Pudsey fever in Berwick
A team of opticians and audiologists in Berwick welcomed Pudsey Bear into their store in Marygate during a record-breaking Children in Need appeal this winter.
Specsavers in the town played host to the ever-popular charity mascot – named after the North Yorkshire settlement of the same name – during their own fundraising drive.
The eye and hearing experts staged a non-uniform day and hosted a bake sale to encourage donations for the special cause, which supports disadvantaged children across the UK.
A word from the store
Craig Bell, director at Specsavers in Berwick said: ‘We are big supporters of Children in Need and there was much excitement among the team when we found out Pudsey was visiting to support our fundraising drive this year.
‘Our small donation, like countless donations across the country, amounted to an impressive total for 2017. We are proud to have played a part in making this year’s campaign such a success.’
