Meet the Director and Dispensing Optician
Tell us a bit about yourself
I'm 29 years old. I love hiking,I'm actually climbing Mount Kilimanjaro later this year with group of friends.
How did you come to work at Specsavers in Belle Vale?
I've been with Specsavers since 2010, previously I worked previously in the Bootle store as store manager. This is where I qualified as a dispensing optician, after studying at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. I also completed my ILM3 in Leadership and Management this year.
Do you wear specs, and if so, what is your favourite style?
I have been wearing glasses since my teens. At the moment, I love dark plastic frames for work, and also like some of the quirky rounder styles for outside of work.
Which frames are the most popular with customers at the moment?
The new Balmain range is fantastic; its a real coup for Specsavers.
What is the best part of your role?
I love seeing my team grow in confidence by helping to develop their skills and allowing them to be the best versions of themselves. Specsavers has allowed me to do this over the years and now it is my opportunity to allow others to do the same and succeed.
The Halewood store is about to open, and I'll also be working as a director there which will be an exciting new challenge and opportunity.
Why is it so important to get your eyes checked regularly?
An eye test check the health of your eyes. Our aim is to provide the best customer service and the best value eyecare and hearcare.
Do you provide hear care at the store?
Yes, we have a thriving hear-care business in store and I am keen for it to grow further.
