Specsavers staff from Victoria Square got involved in this year’s Guide Dogs campaign ‘Move it for Money.’ They joined the Guide Dogs NI team as well as guest guide dogs and owners outside Belfast City Hall as part of a kick-off event for Guide Dogs Week in Northern Ireland.

Free visual screening

Philip Hutchinson and Alexandra Graham from the Belfast store offered members of the public free visual screening tests to promote the importance of eye health and to highlight the important fund-raising work of Guide Dogs NI.

Helping blind and partially sighted people

The UK wide campaign Move it for Money encourages the public to dance, run, bake or to get moving whatever way they wish, to raise cash for Guide Dogs. This will help ensure the charity can support as many blind and partially sighted people as possible.

£35 can help keep a guide dog partnership with a person moving for a week. In Northern Ireland there are around 30,000 people living with sight loss.

Specsavers is a supporter of charity organisation Guide Dogs NI and this year held a range of Guide Dogs Tea Parties at local Specsavers stores.
