Local par-tea for Guide Dogs

Looking forward to Banbridge’s Great Guide Dogs Tea Party on Friday 28th April are local singer and songwriter Malachi Cush and Gary Loughran with his guide dog Usher.

Banbridge lady Jill Hanna and her guide dog Katie are joining staff from Guide Dogs NI and Specsavers who are hosting a Great Guide Dogs Tea Party in the Banbridge store on Friday 28th April from 10am to 1pm.

The event is part of a local and UK wide series of tea parties aimed at raising much needed funds to support people living with sight loss.

Guide Dogs NI staff and volunteers are also in store to chat to customers about the charity’s work and its range of volunteer opportunities and with the Specsavers team are providing tea, coffee and refreshments. Customers and shoppers are invited to make a donation to Guide Dogs NI.

Wayne Watson, store director in Banbridge said: ‘At Specsavers we’ve seen at first hand the brilliant work Guide Dogs NI has carried out for people with sight loss.

'The tea party is a great community initiative which will raise cash for an excellent charity.’
