Back to Ballymena
Jaclyn explains: ‘I really enjoyed working in Specsavers in England but the time came that I really wanted to be back home. I was very happy as a student working in Ballymena and when the opportunity came up to join the team as a fully qualified optometrist I jumped at the chance.’
‘I love working with all types of patients and especially like finding out their needs and solving eye health problems. I’m always on the lookout for signs of health issues beyond the norm and I’ve had to send a couple of my patients to hospital for potential cases of retinal detachment which can be very serious.’
‘The Ballymena store is so friendly to work in and most of the staff that were there when I was a student are still there. It says a lot about the management that the staff stay long-term.’
Store director, Adrian Murdoch, said: ‘Jaclyn is a great asset to the team. She was a popular member of staff when she was a student and now fully qualified she brings great professionalism and enthusiasm to the role.’
