The Specsavers stores in Irvine and Saltcoats are encouraging people of all ages to lead a healthy lifestyle by sponsoring an Ayrshire running event.
The stores are supporting the North Ayrshire Athletics Club 10K which takes place at St Matthews Academy in Irvine on Sunday 2 September.
Staff from the store will be there on the day to cheer the runners on and will also be raising awareness of services provided in store.
Encouraging people to get out and about
The team will also be letting customers know about the store’s £40 off designer frames priced at £99 offer.
Specsavers Irvine store director Gillian Syme said: ‘As a business that looks after the eyes and ears of people from all over Irvine and beyond, it’s important for us to support local events that encourage people to get out and about and get healthy.
‘We hope a lot of our customers will get involved.’
A word from the store director
Specsavers Saltcoats store director Alistair Ferdinand said: ‘We’re very proud to be involved in supporting the 10K this year.
‘It’s a great day out for people of all ages and we hope that our customers come along on the day to support the runners.’
