Helping children across
Ayrshire Specsavers in Ayr acted as a drop off point for the charity and encouraged locals to donate gifts which will be distributed among disadvantaged children in the area.
Staff at the store also donned their best Christmas jumpers to take part in the Cash for Kids Christmas Jumper Day on 8 December to raise awareness and funds for the appeal.
A word from the store director
Linda Fulton, store director at Specsavers in Ayr, said: ‘The Mission Christmas appeal helps so many families across Ayrshire ensure their children have gifts to open on Christmas morning.
‘We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by the store to donate some fabulous gifts. All of the donations will help put a smile on the faces of so many local children.
‘Many of our own staff also donated gifts as the entire team wanted to support the cause in any way they could.’
Last year’s Mission Christmas appeal helped more than 78,400 children across Glasgow and the west.
Cash for Kids is the official charity of West FM, supporting disabled and disadvantaged children in Ayr and across West Scotland.
