A team member from Specsavers in Ashford received a lovely praise and flowers from a customer, who was extremely satisfied with the service she received.

Excellent praise for team member

“I recently went to Specsavers in Ashford to have a chat with a member of your staff about how to wear contact lenses.

“I was greeted by a lovely young lady called Benita. I was very nervous but she immediately put me at ease by sitting me down for a nice chat.

“It might sound a bit silly that I was so agitated at my age, but this is because I have young onset Alzheimer’s and have trouble absorbing information and concentrating, which have cause me to have very little confidence.

“Benita begun to tell me everything about contact lenses, but I was getting more and more agitated and thought it would be better for me to explain to her the reason why I was feeling like that. Once I did that, she showed me the badge she was wearing on her jacket and told me she was Dementia and Alzheimer’s trained and that she would accompany me every step of the way.

“Usually, my husband would come with me, but this time I decided to go alone and if it wasn’t for Benita I would have probably walked out immediately.

“Benita didn’t rush me, we had a very long conversation and then she patiently showed me how to insert and remove the lenses, reassuring me that it was easy and that I could do it.

Thank you Benita

“I left Specsavers feeling very proud of myself and this wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for Benita. All the staff at Specsavers in Ashford are lovely, calm, considerate and knowledgeable, but I do think that Benita went above and beyond what was expected from her and made the whole experience a pleasure.”
