Arbroath set to collect Christmas gift donations

08 December, 2017

The Angus Spirit of Christmas Appeal has launched for the third consecutive year.

Dropping off allocated gifts

Locals can now donate their gifts to the drop-off point at Specsavers in Arbroath, to be given to hundreds of disadvantaged children and young people in the area.

The appeal has had a fantastic response from the community and has allocated each person with a specific child to buy a gift for.

Katie Baxter, Angus Spirit of Christmas Appeal organiser, said: ‘Those who have been asked to hand their gifts to Specsavers in the Abbeygate Centre can do so by 11 December.

‘We’ve had a superb response during our previous appeals, collecting more than 200 presents which were shared between several local charities and organisations.’

Window display Store director, Jamie Buchan added: ‘We are delighted to support the Angus Spirit of Christmas appeal for the third year. Passers-by will be able to see all the wonderful gifts displayed in the store window. I’ll also once again, be donating a selection box for every child the appeal supports.’
