Arbroath offers high-vis help to local groups

22 December, 2017

Specsavers in Arbroath has pledged to help youngsters stay safer on darker afternoons and evenings by donating high-visibility vests.

Appeal to local community

Specsavers in Arbroath is appealing to local groups which could benefit from a donation to get in touch.

Jamie Buchan, store director at Specsavers in Arbroath, said: ‘At this time of year, it can be very difficult for drivers to see pedestrians, and dusk is a particularly hazardous time as many youngsters may be walking home from school.

‘The vests are a great way to help children be visible and also come in handy during trips, helping to ensure they are easily identifiable as part of a group.

‘Whether you are a teacher, a Brownies or Scouts leader or even an after-school club organiser, we’d love to hear from you.’
