The team at Specsavers in Altrincham celebrated Christmas by making steps to give back to the community.

Christmas donations

The team decided to forfeit their usual Secret Santa gifts for Christmas 2017, choosing instead to bring it items they could donate to a local food bank at Barrington Road Methodist Church.

As well as this donation, four members of the team created a Christmas care package which they gave to a local homeless man.

They presented him with clothing, toiletries, food and other items which they felt might make the festive period a little less difficult for him, which he was extremely grateful for.

Generous team

Store director Steven Dare said: 'I was really impressed when certain team members came forth and suggested we give up our own presents this year, and use the money to make the festive period a little less difficult for the most vulnerable in our community.

'We're always happy to give back where we can, and it's especially important to be aware of those who need our help during the holidays.'

The entire team also got into the festive spirit by donning their most eye-catching Christmas jumpers. Once again, they used this as a way to help the local food bank, forgoing the usual charity donations and instead donating items to Barrington Road Methodist Church.
