Alton walks on fire for charity
Specsavers in Alton did a 'first' this month - walk on fire!
The activity was organised by Brendoncare, a charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people through their care homes, close care facilities and social clubs across the South of England.
Brendoncare has a care home in Alton that placed host to the fundraiser in November. Always up for a challenge is store director, Lateef Iqbal who braved the coals with colleagues Gavin, Graeme, Alyssa and Charlotte.
On behalf of the team, store director Lateef Iqbal would like to thank everyone who sponsored them.
Lateef said: 'Despite stepping onto the hot coals with a bit of trepidation, I have to say that we all really enjoyed it and left with a great sense of achievement. There was a great crowd there on the day and we all came away with a greater understanding of the saying 'Mind over matter.' To say we've walked on hot coals and survived it is something to tick off the to-do list!'
