An Aldershot scouts group will be visible this winter thanks to the free donation of high visibility jackets from Specsavers in Aldershot.
Long-time supporter of road safety
The team at Specsavers has been providing the Aldershot community with free high visibility jackets over the last 10 years.
The activity coincides with Road Safety Week every November and is designed to ensure children are kept visible on local roads when the winter months set in.
Glad to play our part
Store director, Mark Dunn, said: 'Of course, drivers have a role to play in ensuring their vision is adequate before driving and we are here to assist with eye health and vision problems.
'But it's also nice to help the community with the free jacket donations and to date, we have supplied these in their hundreds to local schools, groups and clubs. We hope that the Scout group can put them to good use in the coming months.'
