The team from Abingdon Specsavers have raised £157 by taking part in the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning (Friday 29 September).
The staff channelled their inner-bakers to provide goods in return for donations to the worthy cause.
A word from the store director
Abingdon store director, Andrew Threlfall, said: ‘We were delighted to be part of this year’s fundraising efforts and the team has really risen to the occasion! They put in a huge amount of effort, making some fabulous sweet treats which customers seemed to really enjoy.
'A big thanks to everyone that came down to show their support, we’re thrilled to have raised more than £100 for Macmillan Cancer Support.’
World's Biggest Coffee Morning
Last year people across the UK raised almost £30 million for Macmillan in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. It is Macmillan’s aim to support those affected by cancer and ensure nobody faces it alone.
