From Wednesday 14 December the stores will be designated drop-off points for new and unwrapped gifts suitable for children and young people aged 0-18 years.

1 in 3 children are living in poverty

One in three children are living in severe poverty in Greater Manchester, which means there are children going to bed without a hot meal in a house without central heating, and over 150,000 children in the area may not have a present to open on Christmas Day.

Pop in and donate

Store Director, Amanda Pedder, says: ‘Christmas is such a special time for children, and we want to do something to help make sure that all children, no matter what their circumstance, have something to open on Christmas morning.’

‘We’d encourage all of our wonderful customers and colleagues to pop into store and donate a gift – even if it’s something small – to help make a big difference for local children who are in poverty.’
