Over the course of 2019, Specsavers in Leighton Buzzard counted the pennies and collected the pounds for Thames Valley Air Ambulance to donate a total of £514 to the charity.
The store had a bottle-shaped donation bucket that customers could drop their spare change into throughout the year as a donation to Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
Who are Thames Air Ambulance?
The charity provides emergency medical services by air and land to patients within the surrounding counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
Last year, the charity was called out 2,670 times to help people in need of urgent critical care and can reach people within 15 minutes in the aforementioned areas. With such important work, it is crucial that they have the funding to be able to continue.
