The team at Specsavers in Leeds held a cake and coffee morning on Friday and raised £79.79 for Blind Veterans UK. Specsavers Leeds helped celebrate 100 years of the charity’s work aiding blind ex-Service men and women, by encouraging donations in the store.

A word from the Director
Specsavers Leeds store director, Mark Richardson said: ‘We’re delighted to be supporting Blind Veterans UK this year by raising money in-store. The charity are currently supporting more than 4,000 blind veterans and with our help, they hope to reach their target of recruiting 700 new beneficiaries in the coming year.’

Blind Veterans UK was founded in 1915 and offers support, training and rehabilitation to blind and vision-impaired ex-Service men and women. The charity’s mission is to ensure that all blind veterans have access to the finest quality services to help them discover life beyond sight loss.
