Generous staff and customers at an opticians in Irvine baked up a storm for charity – and raised more than £100.
The Specsavers store in the Rivergate Shopping Centre hosted a bake sale to generate funds for Macmillan.
Staff asked customers to donate in exchange for sampling the tasty cakes and cookies – and the store raised £134.
Store director Jim Quinn was delighted with the response from customers and with the amount raised.
‘Macmillan provides vital support to individuals and families living with cancer, so we’re very proud to be raising money for the cause,’ he said.
‘We would like to say a big thank you to all customers who donated.’
