Cancer charities close to their hearts
Ross and Ruth joined thousands of the participants in the Great North Run on Sunday and were thrilled with how much they had raised for the two charities that are so close to their hearts.
Campbell, store director at Specsavers in Richmond, said: ‘Supporting Macmillan and Cancer Research UK is extremely important to the staff here at Specsavers in Richmond as many of us have been affected by cancer whether it be directly or through supporting a family member.
‘Ruth and I trained very hard in the run up to the race and we were thrilled that all our hardwork paid off by being able to donate so much to our chosen charities. We wouldn’t have been ble to do it without the incredible support from customer, friends and family so we would like to extand a huge thanks to everyone for keeping us going.’
Charity work continue for the store
Ross and his team are already considering their next community event set to take place in the coming weeks.
