Staff at Specsavers in Hamilton mark the store's 25th birthday

Specsavers in Hamilton marked 25 years of caring for the eye health of the people in the town with a day of fun in store.

Staff and customers celebrated the quarter of a century with a birthday cake, balloons and a birthday banner.

And Specsavers Hamilton customer Paula Dalton, who turned 25 just after the store did, received a free pair of designer glasses as an extra special birthday treat.

Staff compiled a picture montage board documenting the fundraising and community work that the store has taken part in over the last 25 years.

Providing a great service
In 2014 so far, the store has raised £1,595 for charity.

Dispensing optician Nishma Patel says: ‘We are very proud to have provided a great service to the people of Hamilton over the last 25 years.

'The picture board brought back a lot of memories for staff and customers, and reminded everyone of how much money has been raised for charity over the years.

‘We would like to thank all the staff and customers for making it such a great day.’
