Specsavers in Grantham is helping to ensure local children can be seen clearly this winter by donating 100 high-visibility vests to St Anne’s Primary School.

Store directors, Bijal Ladva and Colin Ducker visited St Anne’s in time for Road Safety Week (17-23 November) to raise awareness of the importance of being visible on the roads and when out and about this winter.

‘We’re incredibly pleased to be able to make this small gesture that will hopefully have a big impact on keeping local children safe and visible on the roads,’ Bijal said.

‘Specsavers is a proud sponsor of Road Safety Week and we want to raise awareness about the part we can all play in preventing accidents and making roads safer.’

Specsavers stores across the country are also donating high-visibility vests to local schools and other community groups as part of an initiative to keep local school children safe when out and about this winter.

Road Safety Week is organised by Brake, the national road safety charity which helps to save lives and support people bereaved by road crashes.
