Specsavers Hounslow got into the spirit of Sports Relief 2020, by donning a sports top from their favourite team, making a donation and celebrating ‘Mufti Sports Day’ in-store.
Taking place on Friday 13 March, this year the Sport Relief theme is ‘Get your Kit On for Sport Relief’ to help take on poverty and injustice. Sport Relief inspires the nation to do something sporty to help raise funds that will take on some of the world’s most pressing problems through the power of sport.
Sport Relief fund raising
Charity fundraising activity will help to tackle homelessness, support mental health issues and raise funds to support some of the most underprivileged and vulnerable people in the UK and around the world.
Customer donations help raise funds
Specsavers Hounslow customers gave donations to have their glasses adjusted or serviced. The store team also sold Sport Relief badges and wrist bands.
Ranna Rai, Specsavers Hounslow optometrist director said; ‘The entire team were buzzing in support of Sports Relief. They encouraged customers to support the charity fund raising activity which is for a very worthy cause. The funds raised were deposited on Friday 13 March. We hope our in-store fund raising will help to make a difference to those people in need.’
