The Specsavers Hearing Centres team completed their second 50+ Show appearance of the year with a successful weekend in London.

The exhibition gave attendees the opportunity to have their hearing and sight checked, as well as ask for advice on Specsavers’ services.

Booked out

With appointments booked out before 11 o’clock each morning, the recently remodelled hearing booth once again proved to be of huge interest for show visitors, with more than 150 hearing screenings completed over the three days.

On top of hearing screenings, the team also carried out 220 surveys and nearly 50 vision screenings, on top of giving information on Specsavers’ services and answering any queries from show attendees.

A helping hand

With help from the Specsavers Hearing Centres Staines staff, the show proved to be a huge success, with the stand attracting interest throughout all three days.

Barbara Beasley, hearing aid audiologist at Specsavers Hearing Centre Staines, says: ‘This is the second year we have helped out with the London 50+ Show. Once again, we had a lot of interest in the stand and it was great to be able to provide people with not just a hearing or vision screening, but to give advice generally on hearing loss.

Hearing loss is something that is relevant to the majority of the show’s demographic. It was great to see such a fantastic response to the stand, and particularly the hearing booth.’

The show, which took place from the 10 – 12 July, was held in the Kensington Olympia Grand and attracted 9,247 visitors.

Specsavers Hearing Centres’ next exhibition will be at the Exeter 50+ Show, from 19 – 20 September at Westpoint. For more information on the show you can click here.
