Specsavers Great Yarmouth is donating £1 for every sight test throughout Armed Forces Week 2015 (22 to 28 June) to Blind Veterans UK.
Staff from Specsavers are helping celebrate 100 years of the charity’s work helping blind ex-Service men and women, by encouraging donations in the store.
As well as dedicating £1 per sight test, store staff will also be offering customers a selection of tasty cakes and treats.
Specsavers Great Yarmouth store director, Martin McCormack said: ‘We’re delighted to be supporting Blind Veterans UK this year. The charity is currently supporting more than 4,000 blind veterans and with our help, they hope to reach their target of recruiting 700 new beneficiaries in the coming year.’
Blind Veterans UK was founded in 1915 and offers support, training and rehabilitation to blind and vision-impaired ex-Service men and women. The charity’s mission is to ensure that all blind veterans have access to the finest quality services to help them discover life beyond sight loss.
