Specsavers frames are officially at the cutting edge of fashion after featuring on the catwalk during London Fashion Week 2016 in one of the UK's largest fashion showcases.

The Ones to watch

Fashion Scout's 'Ones to Watch' catwalk show, sponsored by Specsavers, is instrumental in raising the profile of emerging design talent globally.

Vicky Arklie from Specsavers' buying team commented: 'We are delighted to be able to see bold spectacle styles modelled alongside pioneering fashion and to be a part of this fantastic event showcasing talent from up and coming designers.

These are pioneers of new trends, of which the eyewear industry follows with great interest. Gone are the days when glasses were just worn through necessity - they are now widely regarded as a must-have fashion accessory. Emerging stars are something the whole industry can get really excited about.’

The winners of Ones to Watch 2017 were Ana Ljubinkovic, Anissa Aida, Billie Jacobina and Ester Kubisz

Vicky matches designer catwalk style to our most innovative frames

Serbian designer Ana Ljubinkovic has a real sense of playfulness with her designs. She uses hand-crafted techniques with lots of colour and an element of kitsch. Our turquoise and tortoiseshell glasses by Max & Co are the ones to take on this bold new designer.

Culturally inspired by her Tunisian heritage and the Far East is Anissa Aida. She draws on sophisticated designs and bold silhouettes - cue our blue contrast glasses by Europa to take on this mix.

Eye-catching designer Billie Jacobina recently won the prestigious residency award at Graduate Fashion Week for cleverly using printed sequins and vibrant colours to inspire her mermaid collection. Elements of the sea can be found in our silver cat-eye glasses by Max & Co.

Challenging the status quo is Ester Kubisz by deconstructing the traditional working wardrobe with a unisex offering. Her unconventional approach is not for the faint-hearted and we’re sure these black square frames by Gant can take on the challenge.
