Specsavers Edgware Road support road safety
The Specsavers Edgware Road team donated a number of high-visibility vests to Minerva Academy in a bid to help keep the children safe near roads.
With Edgware Road being a particularly busy road in London, the team at the store are also handing out high-visibility vests to children that visit.
Supporting Road Safety Week
Kids, friends, families and parents visiting the store have been picking up free high-visibility vests to help keep them visible to drivers and safer on the roads.
The initiative of Road Safety Week, created by the national road safety charity Brake, took place on 17-23 November, and is sponsored by Specsavers.
The charity strives to help prevent deaths and injuries on the road, as well as support victims of road accidents; and help implement road safety policies.
Edgware Road store director
Store director Suraj Shah said: ‘London, and Edgware Road especially, is a very busy area and we hope that the high-visibility vests will help to keep local children and pupils at the Minerva Academy safer around the city.’
