Specsavers Dumbarton invests £175,000 to transform store
A Dumbarton optician has invested £175,000 to upgrade its premises to offer the most professional service to customers.
Specsavers on High Street, Dumbarton, has been remodelled and renovated with an ultra-modern new look offering the latest eyecare and retail technology.
The store relaunched in a day of celebration on 1 October – and Glasgow Warriors players Tim Swinson and Zander Fagerson joined in the fun by cutting the ribbon to declare the new store officially open.
Store director Robin Mitchell said: ‘We are thrilled that the store is now open. The refurbishment had been a long time in the planning and it’s great to see the new store up and running. We’ve had some fantastic feedback from customers already.
‘We have had a presence in Dumbarton for a number of years and this investment represents our long term commitment to continue delivering great service to all our existing and new customers.’
Specsavers Dumbarton now has a new layout and the frame display areas have been remodelled to create a more enjoyable customer experience.
Redesign for life
Embracing current technology, staff now use tablet devices for dispensing glasses and taking payments. The redesigned upper level of the store now features a dedicated contact lens department. Staff are also preparing for the launch of the store’s hearcare service later this year.
Robin says: ‘The new look store will help us to continue to provide a comprehensive service, using all the latest advancements in eyecare technology, to our customers – and to build on our already strong customer base.
‘When launched, our hearcare department will provide customers with thorough hearing assessments, advice and information on all aspects of hearing. They will be able to try out the wide range of aids available and access expert aftercare service.’
