Optical team get behind the Big Push Campaign

Staff at Specsavers in Dudley are supporting the Dudley Group NHS Charity and The Big Push campaign.

The team are all behind the initiative which aims to fund 50 new wheelchairs for Russells Hall Hospital to make life easier for patients in need.

The store has already donated £600 – enough to buy one new wheelchair, but have a range of additional fundraising activities lined up.

‘We are proud to be one of the first businesses to be supporting The Big Push Campaign by donating £600 for a new wheelchair,’ said Gurdeep Dosanjh, store director.

‘As a Dudley opticians many of our team and patients have strong connections with Russells Hall and so we’ve been committed to doing all that we can over the years to raise funds and awareness for the fantastic work that the hospital does. This has ranged from sponsored head shaves, to baby clothes sales as well as donations around Christmas and Easter.

'We aim to continue our support in store with a host of fundraising activities - next up on the list is a cake sale, so watch this space for more information!’
