Specsavers Broadmead raises its glasses to 30 years!
To celebrate the store turning 30, we are inviting customers and local residents to join us in raising our glasses at a special event on Thursday 19 February.
Visit from a special guest
From 1pm – 4pm, the team will be giving out goody bags with 50% off glasses vouchers hidden at random and balloons for people who come into the store. The Right Honourable Lord Mayor of Bristol, Councillor Alastair Watson, will be visiting at 1pm to help kick-off the event.
Pull funny faces in our photo booth for charity
In addition, to mark Specsavers’ support for Red Nose Day 2015, the store is offering visitors a chance to win a free pair of designer specs. Keeping in theme with Red Nose Day, visitors can make their faces funny using the store’s professional photo booth and props for a donation of £1*. The team will also be offering specs MOTs (cleaning and repairs) in return for donations to Comic Relief.
Buy your own official Red Nose Day eyebrow-raising specs
Also available are Specsavers’ official eyebrow-raising Red Nose Day glasses in small and large sizes, for just £3 with £1 donated to Comic Relief.
Mark Walker, store director at Specsavers Bristol, said: ‘It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years! It’s testament to the team and our loyal customers that we have remained a success, a particular achievement in what has been a tough economic retail climate.
‘Over the years our values and commitment have remained the same – ensuring that we provide the very best in eye care to all our customers. We’re also very committed to supporting the local community, and by holding this event we hope it serves as a small thank you to our customers and to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to them. So please come and join the fun on Thursday!’
Specsavers is official sponsor of Red Nose Day 2015
Specsavers in Bristol has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
Whether it’s at home, work or school, the public are being encouraged to make their faces funny for money this Red Nose Day, which takes place on Friday 13 March.
