Specs donation at Whitehaven opticians

Sight charity, Vision Aid Overseas received a large donation of specs from Specsavers in Whitehaven
The eyecare experts from Specsavers in Whitehaven collected thousands of old and unwanted glasses in store for sigh charity, Vision Aid Overseas

Whitehaven opticians have donated 2400 pairs of used and unwanted specs to sight charity, Vision Aid Overseas. 

The team from Specsavers in Whitehaven encouraged local residents to donate to the initiative in the charity's 30th anniversary year.

Comment from the store

Peter Walker, store director of Specsavers in Whitehaven, said: ‘We’ve been blown away by the response from residents and we’re going to carry on the collection as we know many more people may still have an old or unwanted pair of specs at home.'
