The team at Specsavers in Telford were joined by special guests on Saturday 19 September as they celebrated the relocation of their store.

Dame Mary Perkins, founder of the optical group, and her son, managing director John Perkins joined members of AFC Telford to mark the opening of the relocated store. Customers enjoyed entertainments including a selfie booth, balloon modeller and stilt walker. Cakes, refreshments and goody bags added to the party atmosphere.

Store manager, Gareth Dobson, said: ‘We were delighted to see so many customers pop by on Saturday to see our new store, and it was a privilege to show around our guests of honour, Dame Mary and John Perkins.’

The new store spans three floors including three large test rooms, a spacious seating area and seven additional consultation rooms on the second floor. It also boasts state-of-the-art optical equipment including two digital retinal cameras which take photographs of the back of the eye, interactive waiting areas and an on-site laboratory.
