A team of 18 from Specsavers’ stores in Southport and Formby raised money for their local charity, Galloways, last month by sprinting in the Southport Colour Blast run.
Raising money for Galloways
The 5km run, undertaken by individuals as well as local organisations, was hosted to raise money for Galloways – the organisation that helps those who have been affected by the devastation of sight loss, offering services for the blind and partially sighted, providing a strong and positive support system.
They day was a huge success and the Southport and Formby team were able to raise £410, which was all donated to Galloways.
Specsavers sponsor event
Specsavers was one of the main sponsors of the event and awarded winners for their efforts by providing them with specially made Specsavers medals.
Victoria Dunn, director of the Southport Specsavers store, said: 'It was a great day and team members from Southport and Formby stores were all proud to be involved and raise money for such a worthwhile cause. We look forward to supporting the charity in the future.'
