Raising smiles in store for a good cause, Specsavers in Flint collected more than £160 for Red Nose Day this year.

Posing in props

The team at the Church Street store set up a 'make your face funny for money' photo area, where customers were invited to pose in the special Red Nose Day specs, and other props.

In addition to the store's individual fundraising figure, sales of Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses, which were available for just £3 with £1 donated to Comic Relief, also boosted the company's contribution to the charity.

Giggling for a good cause

Denise Roe, store director of Specsavers Flint, said: ‘As a team we thoroughly enjoyed making our faces funny for money in support of the great work that Comic Relief does and it was fantastic to see so many customers join in the fun.

Thank you to everyone who came down and made all our events such a good giggle for a great cause.’

Supporting people with tough lives

Specsavers in Flint joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.

From painting their faces to donning the Specsavers funny specs millions of people up and down the country made their faces funny for money and raised life changing funds. The money raised through Red Nose Day, Friday 13 March, helps poor and vulnerable people living incredibly tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
